Kiwi born, DJ Jay Moore has called Queenstown home for almost 20 years. A passionate snowboarder and mountain biker, he was naturally attracted to the beautiful Queenstown landscape.

DJ Jay has spent most of his adult life as a professional DJ, with music as his number one passion and true love. His experience dates back to the 90’s, DJing in Hamilton’s (New Zealand) legendary bar, The Hillcrest Tavern – packing the house to his carefully crafted playlists. When he wasn’t playing to the masses, he was working in a music shop, moonlighting on the radio, or adding to his vinyl record collection.

Now DJ Jay operates as a resident DJ in Queenstown’s most famous dance clubs. Being extremely versatile, DJ Jay entertains at the top venues, catering to weddings & corporate events.

Known for his genuine & honest nature, with a vast experience to back any situation, DJ Jay Moore will craft a custom & bespoke experience to suit your real needs and event. He takes pride in his craft and strives to ensure that you get exactly what you want, leaving you satisfied with an event that was a great success, and one to remember.

One of the many unique qualities of DJ Jay that sets him apart from other DJs is his long and genuine passion for music, building up his vinyl record collection from the ripe age of 15,  his collection is now in the 1000’s, which he sometimes brings out to DJ retro parties for a fun & novel night. During these nights he involves guests and gives them pointers on how to use the analog setup. 

DJ Jay is the most diverse and adaptive DJ in the Queenstown & Wanaka region, with the talent to walk into any environment and play to young adults or more mature crowds effortlessly. 

With well over a decade of being a full time DJ, his experience makes him strong through all eras of music. He keeps up with the latest releases and can even create a whole night filled with house and electro, just old school, or mix every genre together for a fantastic fun filled night – ultimately creating the best experience possible.
